The School and Community Association (SCA) is to support, enrich and enhance the functions of Cedar Mountain School in fulfilling its mission in the community, which is to provide a comprehensive, well-rounded education to the children it serves. It is an avenue of communication between home and school. It is also a means by which parents/guardians can help the school service the children.
Monthly meetings are held the second Thursday of every month (unless otherwise noted) in the cafeteria at 9:30am.
If your child’s education is to be a worthwhile endeavor, it is important that the school and parents/guardians WORK TOGETHER in the best interest of the child. Talk with your child about the school program and activities and express your interest in his/her progress. Make every effort to attend parent/guardian teacher conferences. Provide a quiet atmosphere and suitable time in which your child may do his/her homework, but do not do it for him/her. Accept your child’s own best work.
Consider volunteering some of your time to assist in the school program. At the onset of the school year, you are invited to join the SCA and you will receive a membership form.
