The recently revised second grade curriculum provides opportunities for students to study the development of various communities, their structure, the governance of communities, group living, working in communities, our national government and holidays celebrated across our country. Map skills are emphasized throughout the year and the study of the history of Vernon Township is introduced in second grade.
