The board of education adopts the following state goals as applicable to the school district and the high school (Policy 2131).
- Curriculum: Implementation and Assessment
- Language Arts K – 12
- World Language K – 12
- Curriculum Revision
- Visual Arts K – 12
- Business Education 7 – 12
- Guidance K – 12
- Student Retentions
- Review of new strategies for early intervention, remediation, and basic skills at the K – 8 level to reduce retentions
- NJQSAC
- Finalize preparation, successfully complete the NJ QSAC process, and develop a plan for subsequent NJ QSAC visits.
- Random Drug Testing
- Implement random drug testing program in grades 7 – 12. A review of the process and procedures will be conducted periodically throughout the year.
- Budget development, community involvement and budget approval
- Prepare, review, and revise where appropriate, the 2010-2011 district budget in order to insure voter approval.
- Special Education
- To assess all facets of special education preK – 12 with particular emphasis on balancing cost efficiency and effectiveness toward student growth and development.
