Glen Meadow Middle School is a modern design two-story building that provides a comprehensive education for approximately 925 students in grades seven and eight. Special programs for English as a second language, school-wide enrichment, Spanish, French, German, special education and advanced math courses are offered to many students. Our special needs population is serviced through resource centers, a multiple handicapped class, and basic skills instruction. The school day begins at 8:00 a.m. and ends at 2:45 p.m. A variety of extra curricular and enrichment activities are provided. Students may choose to participate in band, orchestra, chorus, peer leadership, and intramural or team sports.

Many faculty members have received awards for excellence or other contributions to education. Teachers at Glen Meadow have received the district's "Teacher of the Year" award, "A+ for Kids" grant, technology awards, "Special Education Teacher of the Year", and "Science Teacher of the Year" awards. Faculty membership in prestigious organizations for academic excellence is common.

Students in the School-Wide Enrichment Program have successfully participated in many academic competitions throughout the county, state and nation, including the Continental Math League, NJ Math League, and News Bowl. Individual students are honored through an Honor Roll, and Artist of the Month recognition program, and through the Presidential Academic Excellence Award Program. The climate of the school is outlined in our Students' Bill of Rights and Responsibilities. A Peer Mediation Program reinforces conflict resolution skills for students. After-school clubs include Yearbook, Student Senate, Student Council, and Builders Club to name a few.
