Listed below are some general classroom policies and expectations that may be helpful. Please contact me through e-mail as addressed above or by calling the school at 973-764-8745. E-mail is preferred since I check my e-mail throughout the day! I will collect absent notes in homeroom on the morning your child returns to school. All students must bring in a note of explanation to go on file when absent. Please refer to the handbook/calendar for details. When your child is absent three days, you may contact the school or your child’s homeroom teacher on the third day to request assignments. In this way, your child will not be overwhelmed upon returning to school. If work is requested, it is expected that some portion of the work be completed upon your child's return to school. If your family will be on vacation or an unexpected extended absence becomes necessary throughout the school year, we will gladly gather the assignments your child will miss. A few days will be necessary for all of your child’s teachers to have time to get everything together. If work is requested for these reasons, it is expected that the work be completed in its entirety upon your child's return to school. It is expected that all students come to school prepared with completed homework, an assignment pad, paper, pencils, and required textbooks. All textbooks should be covered. Students are required to see me before dismissal to get and make up any class work missed due to instrumental lessons or enrichment activities on that same day.
