I would like to take this opportunity to wish you and your families a very Happy and Healthy New Year! I hope that you had a chance to relax and enjoy some special times with your children, extended families, and friends over the winter break. As many of us who are now considered the “aging” generation can testify to the long lasting effects of time well spent with family, and even more significant, the importance of the time spent with your children.
As a reminder, schools will be closed on January 16th in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
In the event your child will be absent, or late due to illness, or for any reason, please call the school attendance line 973-764-2787. This call may be made at any time; but we would appreciate it if it was made before 9:00AM on the day of the absence (973-764-5590 if you need to speak directly with our nurse, Mrs. Gallant). If your child is absent and has not been called out of school, an automated call will be made by the school to verify your child’s absence.
Please try to make the phone call as per the instructions above, as an email to the teacher or nurse may not be checked prior to the automated process above taking place.
Reminder: If you did not receive a message on the delayed opening days in December or would like to update your contact information, please be sure to visit the Power School Parent Portal at powerschool.com.
Wishing you and your family all the very best as we begin 2017!
