Home > Our District > Vernon Educational Foundation MISSION STATEMENT: The mission of the foundation is to foster, promote and enhance traditional and innovative approaches for excellence in education in the Vernon Public Schools, and to encourage community-wide interest and involvement in, and support of, The Vernon Public Schools. MEETINGS: Every Third Tuesday of the month the foundation meets in the Lounsberry Hollow Middle School Library at 7:30PM. All are welcome and encouraged to attend. The deadline to submit a Grant request to the foundation is April 30th. Grant money will be awarded by the end of the school year giving recipients time to get their projects underway for the new school year beginning in September. Letter to Grant Applicant Grant Application Scoring Criteria Thus far since its' inception in January 2005 the VEF has awarded over $60,500.00 in grant money.
