The School Wide Enrichment Program (SWEP) allows any student with time, interest, and ability to choose from a variety of activities and projects in order to enhance and improve their experience at Vernon High School. The Talent Pool identifies those students who have achieved high levels both on standardized tests and in their classes. Academic competitions and independent projects might be just right for them, or they might want to use their leadership skills to take charge of other enrichment activities or develop new ones. Students who are not in the talent pool can participate in general enrichment activities. They can choose from large-group projects; like Outreach and World Game or small group programs, like the brand-new Unity Club. Computers, including Internet access, allow students to work alone and in small groups on research and on problem-solving programs. Take the time and make the time to enrich!
