I hope everyone had a very Happy Thanksgiving and enjoyed their time with family, loved ones and friends. The arrival of December brought Vernon its first snow days of the school year and the additional challenges of inclement weather and lost power. I hope everyone managed to stay safe, warm and is persevering during this past storm.

The holiday season will soon be upon us with many more opportunities to spend quality time with family, grandparents, extended family and good friends. I am often reminded of the lasting effects of quality time spent with family.

Country singer, Tim McGraw wrote to this in his song, Humble and Kind, “Visit grandpa every chance that you can. It won’t be wasted time. Always stay humble and kind.” It is these values of humility, kindness and respect that we try to emulate and teach your children as they grow academically, socially, emotionally and as McGraw sings, “help the next one in line, always stay humble and kind.”

On behalf of Lounsberry Hollow Elementary School, I would like to wish you and your family a safe and happy holiday season and a healthy and Happy New Year!

Please see below the many events happening at Lounsberry Hollow School during the month of December before the official Winter break begins.

Respectfully,
