Dear VTHS Community:

We hope this message finds you well. First and foremost, we want to sincerely thank each of you! We are so proud of the ability and effort put forth by our students, teachers, and parents/guardians. As we embark on online learning due to our district’s closure, we wish to provide a message of encouragement, appreciation, and support to the VTHS community as we work through this unique situation.

We would like to provide you with some important information:

Online Learning – We are sure you have already received information in regard to the online learning activities that your students are completing through Schoology:

  1. Students should access their work via Schoology for each of their courses.
  2. Students must log-in to Schoology once per day 12:00 am -11:59 pm in order to be marked present for the day.
  3. If there are questions regarding assignments, please reach out to your teacher first via email.
  4. For additional assistance, you may access Online Tools for Parentswww.vtsd.com/tech

Chromebooks If a student experiences an issue with their Chromebook, please complete a SpiceWorks Help Desk Ticket (https://vtsd.on.spiceworks.com/portal). The IT Department will work with each family to provide each student another Chromebook while theirs is being repaired.

Counseling Services– Please reach out to one of the administrators and/or the respective counselor/case manager if you or your child need any assistance.

Free/Reduced Breakfast/Lunch– is being prepared as a “Grab-n-Go” for participating families every day. Pick up is at VTHS from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm Monday through Friday.

School Events- scheduled during the district closure have been canceled. Further information will be available as we move forward.

Ideas for our Student Caregivers- We understand that many of our students will be spending their days watching younger children due to our schools being closed. We respect and understand this added responsibility and wanted to share some links to ideas to keep young children engaged and active at home–in between their own online learning activities:

Again, THANK YOU! We are so blessed to be part of a stellar educational community. We appreciate you and please know we are here to assist you and your families. Please reach out to any one of us via email and we will be in touch.
