Dear Walnut Ridge Families,

Welcome to the Walnut Ridge School Blog! We are planning on updating this weekly in order to assist our families in staying informed of our school and our district events. You will still continue to receive a Friday School messenger email with pertinent issues, but most school reminders will be placed on this blog.

Upcoming events

Holiday Recess:

Early Dismissal– Thursday, December 22nd- AM Preschool 9:35-11:35, PM Preschool 11:30-1:30

School Closed– Friday, December 23rd- January 2nd. School resumes January 3rd.

Walnut Ridge Gives Back-

Toy Drive -Thank you to everyone that contributed to the Operation toy Train toys for tots drive. Thank you to the local Cub Scout Lucas Fish from Pack 183 for collecting our toys to place on the train!

Pajama Drive: Thank you everyone for donating to our Pajama Drive, we have been able to donate around 30 pairs of pajamas. We will be celebrating with a pajama day on December 22nd!

Holiday Sing Along

Pajama Drive

The Walnut Ridge Community had a great out-poor giving with our Pajama Drive. Students and families donated over 30 pajamas. The Walnut Ridge School participates in the Scholastic Pajama Drive which helps donate pajamas and books to regional families in need.

Thanksgiving Sing-A-long

We had a wonderful turn out a Gobbling good time during our Thanksgiving sing-a-long on November 22nd. Thank you to our faculty and staff for all of the efforts you put forth working with our wonderful students and thank you to all of the family members that were able to come out and visit.

Classroom Spotlight

Mrs. Cook’s Class is working on shape recognition by adding attribute shapes to their light table gingerbread people!

Students in Mrs. Lombardi’s class have learned how to be the customer and employee during our Grocery Store theme! They learned how to welcome customers, take their orders, and check in new inventory. They have also learned how to sort produce along with new vocabulary.
