Each student is provided with a locker to store his/her books and articles of clothing. These lockers are the property of the Vernon Township Board of Education and therefore, subject to periodic unannounced inspection by the building administration during the course of the school year. Students are also provided with a small locker for gym clothes and a combination lock for their gym locker. All corridor lockers have built in locks and are automatically locked when the door is closed. Students are permitted to go to their locker at the beginning of the school day, before lunch and at the end of the day. Book bags and backpacks are to be left in the locker during the school day, as they become obstacles to safe movement within our hallways and classrooms.
NOTE TO STUDENTS: Keep your lockers closed, clean, and keep the lock clear of obstruction at all times. Gym lockers have a removable combination lock. It is very important to keep these lockers locked at all times and not to give your combination to anyone! Remember, if you lose anything from these lockers, you are responsible and will be expected to pay for any lost school property. Never leave money or valuable personal property in your locker, such as watches, rings, money, etc. Your locker is a valuable item and should be treated as such.
WE ASK THAT STUDENTS NOT BRING VALUABLES OR EXCESSIVE AMOUNTS OF MONEY TO SCHOOL.
