Our special guest speaker, Detective Tom Laird from the Sussex County Prosecutor’s Office, will share what every parent needs to know about cyberbullying, sexting, and the law. Then some of Vernon’s own tech specialists will share some Internet Safety best practices as well! Math application of Unit Rates

Miss Frazita’s 6th-grade students applied their study of unit rates to everyday life. Students compared grocery items from Shop Rite and Weis and “did the math” to decide which store has the better deal. Students created posters on unit rates and made a presentation to their peers. Students learned a very important skill and can now assist their families with the shopping list hunting for the best deals! Students enjoyed their “shopping” experience.
