Dear Parents/Guardians,
I write this letter with gratitude and excitement, although excitement may be an understatement. I am overjoyed and completely humbled by the opportunity to represent the Vernon Township School District as the Principal of Vernon Township High School for the upcoming 2022-2023 school year. Before I go any further, I’ll share a little bit about myself. I was born and raised in Paterson, New Jersey, and attended John F. Kennedy High School. I went on to attend William Paterson University where I earned a degree in Applied Mathematics and Secondary Education. After this first educational milestone, I was given the chance to discover and experience what I now call home. I was hired at VTHS in 2011 as a mathematics teacher, where I worked with some fantastic students who helped me grow as an educator. After earning my Master’s degree from Montclair State University in Educational Leadership, I became the Assistant Principal at High Point Regional High School. I am currently a Vernon resident, where I live with my husband and 8-month old son. We absolutely love skiing, paddle boarding, traveling, and enjoying the outdoors. I have now been given the opportunity to return to where my educational career started. Vernon Township High School is an amazing community filled with dedicated professionals that are here to serve your children. I am grateful to be the educational leader who will support our school’s continued success. I am hopeful that as a partner in your child’s education, we can work together to expand upon the endless opportunities that VTHS has to offer. I look forward to seeing everyone at our back to school night on Wednesday, September 14, 2022, at 5:30 pm.
With Gratitude,
Lindsay LeDuc Young
