Dear Parents and Guardians:

We are having a wonderful time together at The Walnut Ridge School. The students are learning more and more each day and I couldn’t be happier with the way the year has begun.

Just a few announcements:

Week of Respect:

Our Week of Respect begins October 2nd. We have many exciting events planned for the week, so please check your child’s folder for the two handouts on the Week of Respect or click HERE for digital copies.

Field Trip Next Week:

Just a reminder that our field trip to Pochuck Valley Farms is quickly approaching – a week from today (September 28th). Please contact your child’s teacher if you have any questions about the event or the day.

Save the Date: Autumn Fun!

On October 31 we will be having a day of autumn fun, as well as a costume parade in the back of our school on the Peaceful Playground. More information will be coming soon regarding the specific events planned for the day and when parents/guardians can come to watch the students in their parade.

Parent-Teacher Conferences:

In the coming weeks you will be receiving more information about Parent-Teacher Conferences which are scheduled for November 6th, 7th, and 8th. There will be conference time slots available during both the day and the evening for your convenience.

Parking (cont.)

I have had many positive conversations with parents and guardians over this past week since I made available designated parking spots for picking up and dropping off students. It seems that parking has been much smoother since the change. One item that I would like to clarify, however, is that parents are always welcome to park in ANY available spot when they arrive to drop off or pick up their child. The 17 spots that I made available are simply to ensure that no matter who parks in the parking lot there should always be spots available. But if you see a spot available in the staff parking section there is no reason that you cannot use that spot.
