2018

Dear Parents and Students:

I am hopeful all of you had a relaxing and enjoyable summer.  As we approach the beginning of a new school year, I would like to take this opportunity to welcome all of you.

Our school’s reputation and success rest, in large part, on parental concern and involvement.  As was the case last year, the school theme for 2018-19 at Lounsberry Hollow will be “Every Student Matters; Every Moment Counts!”  Students are the heart of our school where every student is celebrated and valued as part of our learning community.  Every moment counts reflects the urgency of our task of ensuring that ALL students are successfully prepared for their future.

Lounsberry Hollow can take humble pride in its highly qualified and dedicated faculty and staff!  These professional educators welcome your concern, and they view education as a partnership between home and school.

Please note, special thanks to the efforts of the LH School Community Association (SCA), we will be holding tours of our school on Thursday, August 30th from 1:00pm until 4:00pm and on Friday, August 31st from 9:00am until 12:00pm.  Students and parents are welcome to come and visit LH at any time during the above times on either day, if schedule permits, to tour the school and get a “feel” for being ready for the opening of a new school year.

Thursday, September 6th is the first day of school for students.  At LH, students will be provided with an opportunity to meet their teachers, get acclimated to their locker assignment, and meet new friends,…

We look forward to maintaining a tradition at Lounsberry Hollow of students being committed to the proposition that the privilege of coming to school carries with it the obligations to do the best they can.  These are important years, and it is rewarding to work with young people who see a challenge in their potential- to become the best they can.

We trust your experience at LH where “Every Student Matters; Every Moment Counts!” will be a positive and exciting one.  Best wishes to you for a rewarding and successful 2018-19 school year!

Sincerely,

Dennis J. Mudrick

Principal
