November/December 2018
Dear Parents & Guardians,
I am happy to share with you that our students, faculty and staff at Lounsberry Hollow have gotten off to a great start so far this school year!
We are now approximately one quarter of the way through the 2018-19 school year, as LH continues to bustle with activity. Some activities since the first day of school have included: Back to School Night; SCA meetings; School Picture Day; “Count On Me” student assemblies; Week of Respect; and Parent Teacher Conferences.
Thanksgiving time is now fast approaching. Thanksgiving is a high season for gratitude, and an ideal time to reflect and remember things in our school and at home we have to be thankful for, as we work collaboratively to raise our students.
In the spirit of Thanksgiving season, I am pleased to share with you many of our students recently demonstrated their gratitude towards our veterans by writing notes of appreciation to those men and women who have served our country to celebrate Veteran’s Day in November.
Please be reminded school will be closed on Thursday, November 8 and Friday, November 10 for annual Teacher Convention Days, as well Early Dismissal on Wednesday, November 21 and closed on Thursday, November 22 and Friday, November 23 to celebrate Thanksgiving weekend.
In closing, please let me take this opportunity to wish all of you and your families a Happy Thanksgiving season and a healthy and rewarding December holiday season which follows soon thereafter.
Sincerely,
Dennis J. Mudrick
