May/June 2019
Dear Parents and Guardians,
As we are now in the fourth marking period “home stretch” of the 2018-19 school year, I want to take this opportunity to thank all of you for your support this past year. Our students’ “whole child” development since the Fall of 2018 has been remarkable. At Lounsberry Hollow School our motto continues to be: “Every Student Matters; Every Moment Counts!” I am politely confident our students have grown and matured in so many ways this school year.
As we prepare to close out the school year in upcoming weeks and will soon be entering the summer months of July and August, please join our faculty, staff and me at Lounsberry Hollow in reminding our students of the importance of summer reading. Reading is one of the most important aspects of developing our brains. It provides a window into the world around our youngsters and helps students do better in all school subjects. As E.A. Bucchianeri is quoted as having said, “Free time is a terrible thing to waste. Read a book.”
Best wishes to you and to your students for a safe and enjoyable, strong close to the 2018-19 school year and for a very rewarding upcoming summer!
Sincerely,
Dennis J. Mudrick
