November 2019
It’s hard to believe that we are moving into November with the close of the first marking period not far behind. As daylight savings time ends, we are quickly reminded of the changes coming our way. Temperatures are starting to dip and we will soon be greeted with the first hard frost of autumn. Although we cannot complain about the unseasonable fall temperature, it has taken a toll on or normal display of autumn colors. More trees are beginning to lose their leaves, and we are beginning to realize that the winter season will soon be upon us. That being said I would like to remind everyone of the importance of maintaining up to date contact information in our emergency contact system. This system will again be the main source of information regarding early dismissals, delayed openings, and school closings during the school year.
Please keep in mind that school will be closed on Thursday and Friday; November 7th and 8th for the NJEA Convention. In addition, we will also be welcoming Grandparents/Parents from 9:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. on both November 13th and 14th.
I would also like to take this opportunity to remind everyone that Wednesday, November 27th will be an early dismissal day with students being dismissed at approximately 1:10 p.m. for the Thanksgiving holiday (schools closed November 28th and 29th).
