Dear Parent(s) or Guardian,
I would like to welcome you to what I believe will be another wonderful school year. Rolling Hills will continue to focus on building a community of lifelong learners where parents, staff and students build a supportive climate in which each individual student has the opportunity to grow intellectually, socially, physically, and creatively.
Over the course of the summer we receive many individual requests for student placement and while I can appreciate the concern for wanting your child to thrive in their academic setting we are unable to honor individual requests for student placement into specific classes. As I am sure you can appreciate the complexity of student scheduling, I am confident you will find that the faculty and staff of Rolling Hills is composed of very well qualified, professional educators who strive to make their classrooms challenging and creative. Every staff member is committed to developing readiness in academics and nourishing the age appropriate emotional needs of their students.
Although Rolling Hills is not conducting a traditional 2nd grade orientation this year, the following link will take you to a brief Virtual 2nd Grade Orientation.
As we begin the school year, we will be having students coming to school both in person and through a virtual learning platform. If your child is participating in virtual learning, their teachers would like to welcome them and provide them with the resources necessary to begin the school year. In an attempt to maintain social distancing we have created a schedule for parents to come to Rolling Hills and pick up the necessary classroom resources.
The process will be similar to how parents picked up student belongings at the end of the year (Parent/children will remain in their cars and the items will be delivered to their vehicle). Please refer to the following schedule for times:
