RHPS Principal’s Blog – December, 2019

As we enter December and thoughts move toward the Winter Break, I would like to take this opportunity to wish you and your family a very happy and healthy holiday season! I hope that you will have a chance to relax and enjoy some special times with your children, extended families, and friends. As I have said many times in the past, the long lasting effects of time well spent with family and even more significant, the importance of the time spent with your children will far outlast any laptop,  iPhone or XBOX.

Just as a reminder, the district calendar has changed and Friday, December20th will now be an early dismissal day with students returning to school on Thursday, January 2nd, 2020.

IMPORTANT REMINDERS:

In the event your child will be absent, or late due to illness, or for any reason, please call the school attendance line at 973 – 764 – 2787 or you may enter the absence on the parent portal. This call may be made at any time, but we would appreciate it if it was made before 9:00 a.m. on the day of the absence (973 – 764 – 5590) if you need to speak directly with our nurse, Ms. Muller). If your child is absent and has not been called out of school, an automated call will be made by the school to verify your child’s absence. Please try to call or enter the absence as per the instructions above, as an email to the teacher or nurse may not be checked prior to the automated process above taking place.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we work together to ensure the safety of our students.

Wishing you and your family all the very best as we begin to wind down 2019!
