Enjoy our fall poetry
Haiku Poems: At our recent Project Self-Sufficiency Reading Night, families wrote haiku poems together and shared them with participants. Here is a sampling of the creativity of our families:
The leaves all change color
They fall and say their good-bye
Love to see them change
Ryan Bertgano’s Family
Trick or treating time
Fuzzy spiders everywhere
Halloween is here
Gio Iocabino’s Family
Pumpkin, pumpkin glow
I hear the wind blow softly
Autumn leaves scurry on
Christopher Berberich’s Family
Scary ghost appeared
To scare all of the children
Boo is what he said
Frankie Dolbaum’s Family
The pumpkins are carved
Vampires, ghosts, and witches
They look really cool
Jacob Reed’s Family
When leaves fall off the trees
Bringing in the cool fall breeze
And extra hour sleep
James Haase’s Family
The leaves are falling down
The weather is cold and crisp
The pumpkin pies are delicious
Sophia Olsen’s Family
Dark, scary costumes
Spooky ghosts, vampires, monsters
Jumping on leaf piles!
Logan Rembrandt’s Family
Halloween is fun
Witches, ghosts, ghouls frighten children
Everyone run, run, run
Makenzie Getch’s Family

Tuesday, October 24: “I can follow my dreams!” Wear pajamas to school. Students should wear appropriate pajamas and shoes for the weather.
Wednesday, October 25: “I won’t monkey around about good choices!!” Wear crazy socks today! Wear socks that do not match or wear socks with funny patterns on them.
Thursday, October 26: “United we stand for a drug-free land!” Wear blue and gold to show our school spirit and unity!
Friday, October 27: “I like being me!” Wacky hair day! Students can wear a lot of crazy ponytails or spike their hair up high. Rubber bands can go a long way on wacky hair day!
