We had a great week learning about the election process and honoring Veterans at our annual Veteran’s Day Parade. We thank the Vernon Township High School Marching Band for leading our parade and playing a medley of songs for each branch of the military. Here are some pictures for your enjoyment.
Here are the annual VFW First-Grade Coloring Contest Winners:
Mrs. Talerico and Mrs. Ollert’s class used a Google Form to vote for their favorite choice of activities for filling the cotton ball jar for good class behavior. Students voted for having ice cream as a snack. Below are students casting their votes in the voting booth.
Mrs. Haw’s class read the book Duck for President, learning about voting and the responsibility that comes with winning an election. Students cast their vote for their favorite character that they thought should be president on Farmer Brown’s farm. Here is a video of Mrs. Haw’s class giving a book talk about Duck for President.
