Glen Meadow Middle School is offering a 2020-2021 “Path Forward Summer Acceleration Program” for incoming 6th-9th graders that will take place the weeks of July 12 and July 19, 2021 at GMMS from 9:00 to 11:00am OR 5:00 to 7:00pm Monday-Friday. This program will be offered in-person only.
The program may include Math, Language Arts and Multisensory Reading components and will focus on preparing your child for the Language Arts and Math NJ Student Learning Standards to help your child begin the 2021-2022 school year ready for success. We will also be including counseling and social and emotional components as well. Using an accelerated version of each grade’s content curricula, students will be able to partake in a variety of engaging lessons based on key learning standards. It is our plan to assist students in filling in the gaps between their current and next grade level to help our students feel more prepared for the next school year.
In order to accommodate each family’s varying schedules, there may be a morning and evening session for you to choose for your child. The morning session will run from 9:00 am to 11:00 am and the evening session will take place from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Your child will be provided with a complimentary breakfast and lunch daily during the morning session and a late day snack for the evening session.
There is no district-provided transportation for this program; therefore, you will need to transport your child daily. This program has a select number of spots per grade level and there will be a waiting list once the capacity is met.
