Children must be at least 3 years old on or before October 1, 2022 and toilet trained. This program is open to Vernon Township residents only. The program is a 2-1/2 hour session that is held 5 days a week. You have the option of a morning or afternoon session. No full day sessions are available. Parents must transport their child to and from school. Before clicking on the link below to register, please read to the bottom to see what else is required. ATTENTION: Students currently enrolled in our preschool program DO NOT need to complete this online registration process, whether they are attending another year of preschool or are moving on to Kindergarten.
Tuition Preschool In-person registration (along with Kindergarten registration) will be held at Cedar Mountain Primary School, 17 Sammis Road, Vernon, NJ on the following dates:

NOTE: please be sure to select the correct school year when completing the online registration.
PROOF OF RESIDENCY:
All proof of residency forms need to be presented in accordance with New Jersey State Law in order to allow the registration of students into the Vernon Township School District. The State of New Jersey specifies in code, the various forms of documentation that are acceptable as proof of residency. At least two forms of documentation are required. These include:

DPT – 4 doses |
Polio – 3 doses |
MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubeola) – 1 dose (after 1st birthday |
HIB – 2 doses (1 dose after 1st birthday) |
Varicella – 1 dose (after 1st birthday) |
Pneumococcal – 2 doses (1 dose after 1st birthday) |
Influenza – for age up to 59 months to be received between 9/1 and 12/31 of each year (may begin school before receiving vaccine) |
Note: A physical check-up from private medical doctor will also be needed prior to first day of school.
After you complete the on-line tuition preschool registration and upload the pertinent documents, a $50 deposit is required to hold your spot. There is a $3,500 yearly cost for tuition preschool, to be paid in monthly installments of $350 August through May (deducting the $50 deposit in May). Please note that space is limited. During the course of the school year, your child will have a height and weight check, as well as a hearing/vision screening. If the results of the hearing/vision screening are not within the accepted normal range, parents/guardians will be notified. If your child appears to be having difficulty in these areas, please feel free to contact the nurse.
