VTHS engineering students placed first in the Outstanding Prototype division during the recent May 16th NJ STEM Leagues competition held at the Northern Highlands High School in Allendale NJ. The students competed against 20 other regional high schools throughout Northern NJ. This year’s final STEM competition theme had students design and construct a boat hull which was later tested for buoyancy and center of mass. Finally, students presented their documentation and prototypes in front of a panel of judges from Picatinny Arsenal and PSE&G.
