Dear Parents/Guardians of Current and Upcoming High School Students,

Your child will be selecting their course requests for the 2022/2023 school year on Genesis which will be open for student requests from February 14th – February 20th.  Prior to February 14th, counselors will meet with students to review the course selection process. Please take time to review the links below to help make your child’s course selections.

Course selections are based on prerequisites, teacher recommendations, and semester one course grades that students are currently enrolled in. If you or your child do not see a specific course listed under the requests, please check the program of studies to access the necessary prerequisites. If you see a teacher recommendation that does not align with your current course selection options, please contact your counselor to schedule the recommended course. To select courses, please go into your Genesis parent portal and select the scheduling tab, click on the requests tab, and then request courses. Please see the image below. If you need assistance accessing your Genesis account, contact the main office of your child’s current school.

Schedules will be created for students who do not request courses.  Parents and guardians will have the opportunity to view the requests in the spring through Genesis prior to them becoming finalized.  Over the summer, completed schedules with teachers and class periods will be released through Genesis.
