English as a Second Language in the Vernon Township School District 6A:8-3.1 Curriculum and instruction on page 14-16 of the NJAC code online: According with this code in NJ District boards of education “shall ensure that curriculum and instruction are designed and delivered in such a way that all students are able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills specified by the NJSLS and shall ensure that appropriate instructional adaptations are designed and delivered for students with disabilities, for ELLs, for students enrolled in alternative education programs, and for students who are gifted and talented”. Vernon Township School District is proud to announce that has recently adopted a full-time program for its English Learners. It means that every student who qualifies for services, will receive two sessions daily of ESL instruction either in their content area classes and/or in classes with an ESL teacher. The program is applied from K-12 grades.
