Due to ongoing rolling power outages with no estimated time for restoration, as well as downed trees and power lines, Vernon Township Public Schools will be closed today, December 19, 2025

Due to icy road conditions, Vernon Township Schools will have a 2 hour delay for today, December 11th.

This Thursday, November 13th at 6:00 PM, we will conduct our annual test of the District’s Emergency Notification System.

If you do not receive an email or phone call during the test, please contact your building’s main office to ensure your contact information is up to date.

🔥 Last week, we celebrated Fire Prevention Week! 🔥

Our local fire departments visited Cedar Mountain, Lounsberry Hollow, Rolling Hills, and Walnut Ridge to share important lessons about fire safety and prevention. 🚒👩‍🚒

Students learned what to do in case of an emergency, how to create a family escape plan, and why it’s so important to check smoke detectors regularly. They also loved exploring the fire trucks and learning about the gear our firefighters use to keep our community safe! 🚨

A heartfelt thank you to our local fire houses for dedicating their time to educate our students and for the incredible work they do every day to protect us all. ❤️💛
