December 2023
Dear Parents/Guardians,
There is a chill in the air as the winter months approach us. I always look forward to the lights being turned on at Mountain Creek this time of year. It brings a sense of excitement to a possibly long, cold, snowy winter ahead. It can take real motivation to go outside in the winter. But, fresh air is important, so dress warm and remember to get outside and play!
Please remember to send your child to school with a warm coat, gloves, and hat for recess and outdoor play.

Looking back at November:
Emily Cunningham was chosen as the Artist of the Month for November for her creativity and craftsmanship when making a mixed media collage inspired by the American artist, Charley Harper. She created texture in her birch trees using black paint and cardboard and then used simple shapes and bright colors to make cardinals that closely resemble Harper's style. Congratulations Emily!
Our Father/Daughter Dance was a big success!
And Grandparent’s Day was wonderful as well!...
Miss Mariconda’s class brought the Thanksgiving Day parade to Cedar Mountain!
Have a joyful holiday season and fabulous winter break!
Sincerely,
Kristin Gudenkauf
