Happy New Year to our CMPS families!
As we begin this new year, thank you for your continued partnership and support. Together, we support our students in developing responsibility, independence, and safe habits, particularly during daily routines such as bus transportation.
The safety of our students is always a top priority, and a strong partnership between home and school helps ensure that every child arrives to and from school safely each day. As routines resume after the break, we ask that you take a few moments to review proper bus safety procedures with your child, highlighting the importance of making safe and responsible choices.
Please remind students to:
Listen carefully and follow the bus driver’s directions
Remain seated and face forward while the bus is moving
Keep hands, feet, and belongings to themselves
Use quiet voices so the driver can focus on the road
Enter and exit the bus carefully and at assigned stops
By reinforcing these expectations together, we help create a safe, welcoming bus environment where students can start and end their school day successfully.
