Thanks to all of the parents and guardians who were able to attend our Back to School Night event on Tuesday. It was nice to see so many of you there. We are really getting into the school groove, the staff and I are looking forward to a great year with your children.
Our students looked great for pictures today! If anyone was absent or is not happy with their pictures, we have makeups scheduled for November 13th.
We had a great assembly on Thursday to kick off our school-wide PBSIS (positive behavior supports in schools) initiative. Brian Robinson combined magic with a positive message on good character. Please remember we are still seeking donations for our PBSIS school store. Many parents inquired about this at BTSN, if you would like to donate, you can send a check (payable to Lounsberry Hollow Activities Account) or cash in with your students.
We are running a little late in our period 3 lunch, if parents could work to make sure students know their ID numbers, that would really help. Some of our students are not eating their lunch but are purchasing and eating their snack. We do our best to make sure that students are eating their lunch first, but please reiterate that at home as well. In order for students to purchase a snack they must have money on their account or have cash. They cannot charge for a snack. Otherwise lunches are going well.
If you are picking up your child at the end of the day, please call early or enter it in Genesis early. This will help us make sure that we have your child ready for you when you arrive. When leaving with your child, please use the walkway, we cannot have parents and students walking between the buses as they are pulling in. If you were at pickups, you know how busy that gets; I want to make sure everyone gets home safely.
If you are dropping off in the morning, please try to stay to the left of the driveway. This will allow our buses, vans, and staff members a chance to pass by the drop off line. Thanks for your help with this, drop off has been really smooth!
Please make sure that your children come to school with their chromebooks charged.
Teachers will be using Schoology again this year. Please take a look at this short video that provides directions on how to access Schoology.
Students interested in signing up for band or orchestra for the first time can do so at the following link http://tiny.cc/joinLHmusic. Returning students do not need to re-register. Please sign up by September 12th.
Health Office - Any medication, including over the counter medications, that needs to be administered during the school day for the 25-26 school year requires a new doctor’s note. Please call the school nurse, Mrs. Brock, if you have any questions at 973-764-4920 or fax to 973-764-0848.
