Please help us make sure that students are leaving their toys at home. This includes their squishies. We are seeing a great deal of conflict between students over items that should not be at home. It is taking away from our instructional time.
Glen Meadow is partnering with CFPC for the Strengthening Families workshop and is offering a 10-week family workshop opportunity, beginning on May 26th. The sessions will run about 90 minutes, start with a family meal, then breakout groups for parents, teens/tweens, and children. They will also be incorporating special parent presentations regarding social media and its impact on children, and presenting on vaping prevention. Finally, each family that completes the program will receive a 3-month Family Membership to the YMCA, and there are weekly incentives for families (gift card raffles & others). Please see the attached flyer Family Night Out GMMS .
Please be advised that any students who are caught flushing items that don’t belong down the toilet will be removed from our upcoming field trips and end of year activities. Our bathrooms are being intentionally damaged by students throughout the day. Any students who see others damaging our bathrooms should report it to their teachers immediately.
Once a year, the State Rehabilitation Council (SRC) in collaboration with the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Services (DVRS) hosts public forums to provide information on available services for individuals with disabilities and receive input from the community. Please use this link for more information.
Please remember that students should only be drinking and bringing water into the classroom. Also, students should not be eating or drinking on the bus.
As the weather warms, please partner with us to support our school dress code. It can be found on page 22 of our student handbook. The handbook can be accessed here.
