Thank you for having your children prepared for NJSLA-A ELA testing this week. They worked hard and really gave us a great effort. Testing continues next week with Mathematics on Tuesday and Wednesday, May 19 and 20.
Our Field Day will be next Friday, May 22nd with a rain date of Wednesday, May 27th. Activities start in the morning (8:30) and will continue throughout the day. Parents are allowed to come and watch all of the outside activities. I will send a specific message on Tuesday with more information on Field Day.
Our 5th-grade teachers have planned an in-house event, Colonial Day, which will take place at Lounsberry Hollow on Friday, June 5, 2026 for grade 5 students. Please open the link with all the event information. Colonial Day Letter
The 4th grade field trip will also be on Friday, June 5, 2026. Please click on the link for details Sterling Mine Field Trip Letter. We sent home money envelopes with your child. Return the envelope and payment to your homeroom teacher. Payment is cash, exact change, or check payable to Lounsberry Hollow Activity Account. All forms are online and included in the letter (permission form, lunch form). All forms and money are due by May 20th.
Please help us make sure that students are leaving their toys at home. This includes their squishies. We are seeing a great deal of conflict between students over items that should not be at home. It is taking away from our instructional time.
Please be advised that any students who are caught flushing items that don’t belong down the toilet will be removed from our upcoming field trips and end of year activities. Our bathrooms are being intentionally damaged by students throughout the day. Any students who see others damaging our bathrooms should report it to their teachers immediately.
Please remember that students should only be drinking and bringing water into the classroom. Also, students should not be eating or drinking on the bus
