5th grade students are walking to Glen Meadow on Monday, June 15 for 6th grade orientation. They will be back in time for lunch.
The wax museum for grade 4 students is on June 16 (8:30 and 1:30).
Immunization letter coming on Saturday just to parents in grade five. Please be on the lookout for that email at noon on Saturday.
Summer Fun Day will take place on June 18th. During that time students will be participating in games outside on the fields. This is similar to our Winter Fun Day that took place in December. Our fourth graders will participate in the morning and our fifth graders in the afternoon. Please have students dressed appropriately. They should also bring their water bottles. Unlike Field Day, this event is for students and staff…. Sorry parents!
Please remember that schools are closed on June 19th. When we resume on June 22nd, we will be on an early dismissal schedule. Parent pick up is at 12:10pm and students are dismissed at 12:20pm.
Chromebooks End-of-Year
All Lounsberry Hollow students, grades 4 and 5, will return their chromebooks and only keep the charger to be used next year.
Medications in Health Office - End-of-Year Procedure
In accordance with New Jersey State ruling and Vernon Township Board of Education policy, all student medications in the school health office must be picked up by a parent/guardian at the end of the school year.
Student medications must not be brought to school or sent home with a student
Parent/Guardian must deliver and pick up all medications used by students in school
An exception to the above is if the doctor has provided an order for your child to “self-carry, self-administer” that particular medication.
Please plan to pick up your child’s medication on or before the last day of school, June 26, 2026, or they will be discarded at dismissal. Please contact Mrs. Brock if you need to discuss further.
REMINDER: A physician’s order for administration of medication in school expires with the end of each school year. New physician orders are required every September. Medication forms for the 2026-2027 school year can be found on the school’s website (www.vtsd.com, Parent Link > Health Office > Health Office Forms).

Please help us make sure that students are leaving their toys at home. This includes their squishies. We are seeing a great deal of conflict between students over items that should not be at home. It is taking away from our instructional time.
Please remember that students should only be drinking and bringing water into the classroom. Also, students should not be eating or drinking on the bus.
As the weather warms, please partner with us to support our school dress code. It can be found on page 22 of our student handbook. The handbook can be accessed here.
