Next week begins our Week of Respect. Throughout the week, students will participate in age-appropriate activities, classroom lessons, and discussions centered on character education, empathy, inclusion, and the prevention of harassment, intimidation, and bullying (HIB).
Our primary goal during this week—and all year long—is to foster a safe, welcoming learning environment where every student feels valued, safe, and supported. We encourage you to continue these important conversations at home by asking your child what they are learning about kindness, respect, and being a positive peer. Thank you for partnering with us to maintain a strong, respectful school community!
In addition to our themed days next week click here, we will have an assembly from Abracabully which is an anti-bullying magic show for all students on Wednesday afternoon.
Friday, October 9th is Fire Prevention Day. We will have local firefighters and trucks at Lounsberry for students to visit during PE classes.
We are working to connect with families who may benefit from the Free and Reduced Lunch program this year. If you know of any families who could use support, please share the application with them and reassure them that all financial details and qualifications remain strictly confidential. Enrollment helps us achieve our two key priorities:
Supporting Student Well-Being: Ensuring every eligible student receives the daily nutritious meals needed to thrive academically.
Maximizing State Aid: Every application completed on or before Friday, October 9th directly impacts our district's state funding allocation for the school year.

The SchoolStore Program is 100% online so there is NO face-to-face selling, handling money, or delivering products. Your participation will take less than 12 minutes, and there are exciting prizes to make it fun for the students.
Here is all you need to do to participate:
1. Go to https://www.schoolstore.net/sid.t?0000160165 to sign up.
2. Send form emails inviting family, friends and co-workers to support your child.
3. Return the Book Buddy Lanyard with the Student Prize Code to school for your child to get their fun participation prize.
If you plan to pick your child up please notify us before 12:00 PM—either by calling the main office or entering the update directly into Genesis before noon. This helps us ensure your child is ready on time and keeps dismissal running smoothly for everyone.
