There is no school for students on Monday, 10/12 - Teacher In-Service Day.
We are working to connect with families who may benefit from the Free and Reduced Lunch program this year. If you know of any families who could use support, please share the application with them and reassure them that all financial details and qualifications remain strictly confidential. Enrollment helps us achieve our two key priorities:
Supporting Student Well-Being: Ensuring every eligible student receives the daily nutritious meals needed to thrive academically.
Maximizing State Aid: Every application completed on or before Friday, October 9th directly impacts our district's state funding allocation for the school year.

On Wednesday, October 14th, the Vernon Township School District will be presenting our State of the District event click here.
Mind Traveler’s Reading Incentive starts on Monday, October 12th
The Scholastic Book Fair is coming to Lounsberry Hollow October 26–29! The Book Fair will be cashless again this year, and all prices will be rounded up to the nearest dollar. Parents can set up a Scholastic eWallet, a safe and convenient way for students to shop without bringing money to school.
Still Need a Halloween Costume?
Although our after-school Halloween Costume Shop events have concluded, costumes are still available for students in need! If your child needs a Halloween costume, please reach out to their homeroom teacher or Ms. Leitner. Students will have the opportunity to visit the costume shop and select a costume during the school day! We want to help make sure every student has a costume to enjoy this Halloween!
Costumes will be available through October 30th!
If you have any questions, please contact Ms. Leitner at sleitner@vtsd.com.
The SCA sponsored Halloween Activity Night will be held on Friday, October 16th.

SchoolStore Fundraiser
Thank you to all the families who have already participated in our SchoolStore program! We are on our way to reaching our goal, but we need everyone's help to make sure our teachers get the essential tools they need to help our students succeed.
If your family has not participated, there's still time!
This safe and easy program is 100% online so there is no face-to-face selling, collecting money, or delivering products. Your child will receive a prize just for participating, and more prizes will be awarded when goals are reached.
Go to SchoolStore Fundraiser to show our valued teachers your support.
If you plan to pick your child up please notify us before 12:00 PM—either by calling the main office or entering the update directly into Genesis before noon. This helps us ensure your child is ready on time and keeps dismissal running smoothly for everyone.
Please check out The Lounsberry Hollow Kids Google Classroom (by grade).
Please take a look at this short video that may provide some clarity on the parent end of Google Classroom.
