VTSD Preschool rising Kindergarten students visited Cedar Mountain last week. Students toured the building, spent time in a kindergarten classroom and a special (PE, art, library, music), and also had a snack in the cafeteria. This event was a collaboration between all VTSD preschool programs: Walnut Ridge, Growing and Knowing Academy, Discovery Years; along with Cedar Mountain and Maschio's food service. You can see by all of the smiling faces that students are excited about going to Kindergarten in September. Thank you to everyone who made this event a success!
Mrs. Chupka's class participated in The Adventures of the Flat Lorax that travels between school and classrooms across the district. Mrs. Chupka's class also had a special visitor to make this project extra memorable!

Walnut Ridge had a special visitor. Ms. Caitlyn from Newton-Sparta Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics talked to preschoolers about how to brush and floss their teeth and sorted good food versus bad food for your teeth. Thank you!!
